It’s important to have some great birthday day out ideas, or so our 9 year old informed us one morning. But on a serious note, moving into double figures is a once in a lifetime event and it’s nice to make a special memory, as our 9 year old also informed us. Here is our story…

Planning Ahead is Important: Great Birthday Day Out Ideas for 10 Year Olds
Luc (aged 9)
“I’m ready!” I announce as I dive onto Mummy and Daddy’s bed. I may have woken them up but then this is important. I mean really important. Like as important as Christmas. Next level important.
And of course that means I need to start planning now. Today. Right now. At 7.05am. Oops.
“So,” It’s time to get down to the serious stuff now. “You know how we went to Legoland Windsor for Tomos’ 10th birthday, well we need to decide what we are going to do for mine.”
I really don’t understand why they are looking at me all shocked and confused. I mean, they know what number comes after 9 don’t they?
“Have you got any ideas?”
“Uh, no, not yet.” Daddy murmurs sleepily.
Honestly, I don’t know why they let parents organise the serious stuff. I’ve already got loads of ideas. Like we could go on safari in Africa, or climb a volcano in Iceland or go to the biggest, best-est dinosaur museum in the whole world. Or swimming with sharks.
Where should we start?
